Are sessions face to face or online?

During the Covid-19 pandemic I switched to online sessions using Zoom. I work with clients all over the world using this way of working and it has proven to be effective, confidential, and reliable. Post Covid-19 there is the option of working with me face-to-face in my therapy room in Sutton/Morden or booking your sessions online. You won’t need to download anything, as I simply send you an invite to join my private zoom meeting, which you simply click on to join the meeting.

How long has NLP been around and where does it originate from?

NLP was created 30 years ago by Richard Bandler and John Grinder who studied highly successful people who were consistently achieving positive results in their personal and professional lives. They modelled renowned and highly experienced therapists such as Virginia Satir (a family therapist), Milton Erikson (a successful Hypnotherapist) and Fritz Perls (a Gestalt therapist), in addition to other successful people who were consistently achieving results in their fields.

They studied in particular the structure of their skills, beliefs, behaviours and experiences and from this research and their findings they created the highly effective techniques and resources of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). Since the 1970’s the powerful tools of NLP have been successfully applied in the fields of education, therapy, business, sport, and personal development and these skills are being taught and used world-wide.

What happens during an Integrated NLP Hypnotherapy Session?

It varies from session to session. In our first session, I will spend some time getting to know you and will clarify with you what it is you want to work on and achieve. I may use Hypnotherapy or Coaching techniques with you during the session or a seamless combination of these and other effective therapeutic interventions that I am professionally trained in, to help you move away from the problem and towards your desired outcome, working with you at the level of change that is appropriate.

As we work together, there is opportunity to discuss all relevant points and we will talk though any action that you will need to take after the sessions, which includes any personal MP3’s or relevant materials that you need to support you.

Throughout the sessions your needs are fully taken into account, everything is clearly explained, and you will feel validated and respected. You will soon start to experience the benefits of the work we are doing together.

How much does it cost?

Sessions are affordable, but it is best to contact me to discuss your needs and the investment, because they vary according to the issue. Smoking cessation for example is a set package and a set price, whereas for other issues there is the choice of “pay as you go” or the option to purchase a package of sessions at a reduced cost. As there are so many alternatives, it is best to have a chat with me and I can explain everything clearly to you. It is also worth bearing in mind that unlike many other therapies, this approach is shorter term and generally you will not need to see me weekly. This spreads the cost, gives you time to put into practice what we are doing, and allows you to experience the changes taking place.

How many sessions will I need?

The therapy and coaching work I do with you is based on you as an individual, so I work with you to overcome and deal with your personal issues. After my initial full consultation with you, I will be able to give you a better idea about this. The processes I use are creative and gentle and yet effective, so with your commitment, change can happen quickly and with ease. Some people only need a few sessions, whilst other clients choose to have more sessions, to work on additional issues. The work that I do is generally shorter term in terms of sessions required, unlike counselling or some other therapies.

How have other people benefited from working with you?

I have successfully worked with clients in this field since 1999, helping them to transform their anxiety, stress, behaviours, beliefs, moods, and habits. I have worked with them to increase their self-belief, resilience and life skills and shown them how to manage themselves more compassionately and effectively through their lives. Please take a look at the client feedback, where my clients share their experiences and the real benefits of having their sessions with me.
